  1. Omgosh! You are awesome. This is exactly what I wanted when I started my blog… the connection between artists doing their own thing, growing from seeing each other’s work, the inspiration being shared not copied. So cool. I would like to say a couple more things by email but cannot locate your email addy. Mine is leeannaquilts at gmail dot com
so please email me! I grew up in Tampa, with a strong Cuban presence btw.

  3. I’m soooo impressed! What a lovely design! I suspect that it’s only a matter of time before my hubby will be doing exactly this. He has already tried his hand at FMQ, and I saw the creative spark light up his whole face lol! I can’t wait to see the finished quilt!

  4. Don’t worry about not knowing exactly how you want the project to turn out before you start — you know the feeling you are going for and that’s enough. And, if you feel that it doesn’t meet your expectations, you can always make another! 🙂

  5. Your husband is obviously of the “make no little plans” school. And bravo to him for figuring out how to make what he wants, rather than being shunted off into “beginner” quilt land. There’s no one right way to make a quilt: there’s just your way.

  6. Congratulations and welcome to the wonderful world of quilting! How nice that you two could work together to create this beautiful work in progress. I admire your style as I am a big fan of pictorial quilts myself. Not only have you suffered injury by the scissors… I do believe you’ve been bitten by the bug!
